Day One - Screenplay in 60 Days

Taking my own medicine and doing this course to get a screenplay finished in 60 days.

Brief description of day one and then paywall.

Lessons learned:

  1. Genre is important. Stick to the “rules” and deliver the promise of the premise.

  2. Always be looking for irony or potential conflict. The questions in the assignment are great for provoking thoughts about story and conflict potential.

  3. It’s really hard for me to NOT WRITE PAGES. But it’s so very important to know the story and potential conflict BEFORE writing. I’m forcing myself to do it.

Overall, I’m looking forward to the challenge each day. I’ll have a finished screenplay in 60 days. Sweet!
